A Baloch citizen from Kharan has been allegedly disappeared by Pakistani security forces from Kharan district of Balochistan.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post (TBP), A Baloch citizen named Haji Obaidullah S/O Haji Barkat was picked during a joint raid by the Frontier Corps and Intelligence agencies from his home in Qilla Mohalla Kharan.
According to TBP’s local correspondent, Scores have been arrested and taken away by Pakistani security forces during fresh raids conducted in Lijjey, Thoskan, Thazeena, Almork areas of Kharan since last month.
Enforced disappearances that started in the early 2000s have never slowed down in Balochistan, in fact, dramatic surge has been observed in the number of people going missing with each coming year.
International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the culprits of these illegal abductions.
