The Provincial head of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission’s (AIHRC), was abducted and killed by militants in Maidan Wardak of Afghanistan.

According to the reports, Mr. Amiri was acting head of Ghor office in the province.

‘Amiri was abducted by the Taliban in Kabul-Ghor highway in areas related to Jalrez district of Maidan Wardak Province, a restive region in central Afghanistan’, said local officials.

According to official reports the victim’s body was found along the Kabul-Ghor highway on Thursday.

Whereas, The Taliban has not confirmed their involvement in the incident.
