A labourer hailing from Punjab was killed in Quetta on Friday

According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, unknown armed men opened fire near Abdul Wali round-about today in the capital city Quetta. As a result, one man died on the spot and another sustained bullet injuries.

The injured was rushed to the hospital, and until final reports, his condition was stable.

The deceased was identified as Murad, a resident of Punjab province, and the injured was identified as Aman Ullah, a resident of Karachi. Both the men were working as labourers in Quetta.

Police told the media, the incident had occurred in Pashtun Abad area of Quetta, and an investigation is underway.

Motives behind the attack remained uncertain.
