A deadly ambush on a convoy of Pakistani security forces has killed scores.

According to The Balochistan Post correspondent, the convoy of Pakistani security forces was passing near Zamuran, when unkown assailants unleashed a deadly attack.

At least six personnel, including an officer, of Pakistani forces have been killed in the attack, whereas more than a dozen were injured, some critically.

According to local administration, the convoy was transporting polling staff for general elections, to be held tomorrow.

Helicopters reached the area soon after the attack to evacuate the dead and injured.

In another attack in Mand, rockets were fired at a polling station. At least one personnel of security forces was killed, whereas many were injured in the attack.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, however, attacks by Baloch armed groups on Pakistani security forces and election candidates have escalated in recent days in Balochistan.
